Sharon and Nick are finally blogged:) I am a little late… just a little.  I counted the shoots I need to blog about and it totaled 48.  Yes, 48. From summer to December.  I was so ready to blog all Christmas season and the time slipped away as I spent days with my girls baking goodies, shopping and enjoying my mother who came in from out of town.  And now it’s January and I am on number 1 of the 48 shoots to blog… I’ll get there:)

So, I get up in the morning… just like everyone.  Except on a few Saturday mornings, I feel different.  Twelve years ago on a Saturday morning I got up to get ready for my wedding.  Nervous and excited my heart pounded with joy!  I was going to say yes to the man I wanted to be with… forever!  For the last few years, on many Saturday mornings… I get up and feel almost the same.  It’s not my wedding I am getting ready for.  It’s hers. A new friend. I still get that pounding with joy feeling to see someone else say ‘I do’.   And to see it from my lens fills my artistic cravings!  I woke up this Saturday morning, got ready and left for Gina’s house.  I walk in and she looks at me with a shaving razor in her hand and says… “Jen!  I’m not ready yet!”  She was already glowing.  In a towel.;) Not unusual.  So I busied myself with many details to shoot and in not much time we were here… at the Crow Museum for  a beautiful ceremony.  Perfect timing. Oh happy fall!  Pumpkins, vivid colors, fall scents!  Amy and Hunter and I headed out to the Dallas Arboretum for their engagement session.  It’s a good thing the Arboretum is so big!  I pulled up into the parking lot and as I was getting my gear out of the car… 4 buses pulled in of preschool kiddos.  My mouth dropped as I wondered if we would find some secluded areas!  And sure enough… we had plenty of space!  It was funny as we waited at times for little ones to pass through the shots. I just imagined that my little ones would be the same way!  Love it!  I just shot away with my 70-200 and everything was perfect.

Anyway… you must meet Amy and Hunter!  They are so in tune with each other and hands down must be one of the sweetest couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!  I think Amy’s heart could encompass the entire world.
