Gracie :: Anytime

I had a fun little family shoot earlier this week and as I am processing the images I came through a segment where Gracie is on the edge of the pool.  This shot made me laugh as I recounted the many, so many times my daughters have done the same thing.  It magnetic.  Must stand near pool! I still do it!  I found myself right on the edge as I was photographing her.  Duh Jen, back up!  I look down and I am on the bricks lining the pool, too.  You have to stand there though… cause it’s not like there is enough room on the sidewalk around the pool! As of yet… no one has fallen in!  Fingers crossed.  A quick thought ran through my mind though… ‘if I fall in, how do I save my $8,000 camera and lens?’  I concluded, ‘stay near the shallow end’!  I’m such a dork!

Gracie was too cute for words!  Her dress.  Her shoes.  Her expressions!  I have probably 20+ timeless images of this little tyke playing, making faces, running around and giving kisses to her newborn little brother.  Childhood is priceless.  I’ll post more of the session when I finish.  For now… this goes to all moms whose heart takes a leap when this is what we see I love being a mom!  Enjoy! ~ Jen
