I’m pleased to show you Kaci and Britton’s wedding in downtown Fort Worth at the Bass Hall!  We started the day at Bass Hall to get ready and took at a peek at the decor being set-up by Julian of Bell Flora on stage.  Seriously, everything was jaw-dropping beauty.  It seems the room was just dripping with elegance and romance.  We headed over to Travis Avenue Baptist Church and finished the last few touches of getting ready.  The guys were already there and as always… dressed and ready.  I had Britton pretend to re-dress so I could get a few details pics of him.  The guys are always so efficient! I think my favorite moment was a gift given to Kaci.  She opened it and was in tears immediately.  Britton had given her a bible with her name – her new name – inscribed on the front.  I am deeply religious too and as you can imagine this touched my heart too.

The ceremony was gorgeous and perfectly orated. After the formal pics in the church we had just a couple minutes left of the ‘good light’ before the sun was down below the horizon.  My favorite time to shoot is about 2 hours before sunset.  So we quickly went to the parking lot and I positioned them with a tree behind them to dapple the light and had about 10 minutes of time to get the gorgeous shots of the two of them together.  Both Kaci and Britton just glowed and were so excited to be husband and wife.  Really, this job is like no other.:)

Back to Bass Hall we went with a few pics in downtown Fort Worth.  I love it when people on the streets stop and stare at the bride and groom.  Kaci and Britton got several compliments and honks as a took a few pics downtown before walking into Bass Hall.  The reception was flawless, dinner, toasts, cake and dancing.  I was able to take a few photo liberties and knew I wanted to get the bride and groom in the backstage area next to the ropes.  I positioned my light behind them so you can see the stage ropes. It gave them a stunning rim-light and highlighted them perfectly.  Later in the evening the band played a last song for just Kaci and Britton – center stage.  The house lights provided the perfect backlight and backdrop for a really fun shot.  Many thanks to all the vendors that pulled this night off flawlessly!

And Kaci… she’ll have the photo memories… forever.  A gorgeous day.  A loving couple.  A commitment before God. A stunning evening to remember. A perfect wedding.

I was sitting in the parking lot at the Botanic Gardens and it started to rain!  No! Not yet! It wasn’t supposed to rain for another couple of hours.  Brett pulled in a few minutes later and Brooke right after him.  We all three sat in the car deciding whether or not we should take our chances and shoot – pray for the rain to pass or reschedule the session. We each had our iphones with our weather apps starring out the window and watching the clouds move overhead.  “Jen, what do you think?” Brooke asked.  I thought about the situation and didn’t want to the rain to mess things up.  And suddenly… it stopped raining.  A little miracle over the garden.:) In fact, the sun came out!  How’s that one for ya!   We had a beautiful time in the garden.  It never ceases to amaze me how stunning the Japanese Garden is – at any time of the year.  Yes, I’m a sap for nature.  ;) Brooke and Brett were so fun and easy to photograph.  It was my privilege to see their relationship in the camera and how much they truly care for each other!  I was telling Brooke after I edited the pics how they just seem to fit together, as if they had always been together.  How fun it was to get to know them just a bit more before the wedding!  Enjoy the pics! Jen

Introducing… a new Mr. and Mrs. Sturgis! I can’t narrow this wedding down anymore.  I should just put up the link to their gallery… cause it tells such a beautiful story!!  What a fun wedding!  The families, the friends, the locations, the flowers, the decor, the band – oh my!  Simply perfect.  I have another post to show of the after party.  We ended up in the pool;) For now… enjoy the stunning wedding day story of Logan and Taylor…
